| I flew to Montevideo, Uruguary, leaving Washington, DC January 5 and arriving on the 6th. I spent a month roaming the city, mostly the old quarter and near by barrios. I stayed at the juncture of Punta Carretas and Pocitos. Montevideo is easy to get around in, very restful, filled with lovely parks, and, most importantly, everyone was very nice and helpful.
